Projet Wax Patterns

RealWax™ Investment Casting Patterns printed on our Professional 3D Printers for accurate, reliable processing in your investment casting foundry. Whether only one or hundreds of patterns are needed quickly, you can count on our RealWax™ Patterns to fit into your normal foundry processing procedures, just as though they had been injection molded in pattern wax. Using the Multi-Jet-Modeling (MJM) Technology, 3D Systems' 3D ProJet™ Printers use VisiJet® Materials to build accurate, high definition wax patterns for direct investment casting.

Resolution Options

We can print your part designs to meet High Detail and Accuracy requirements using High Resolution Mode or the more economical Standard Resolution Mode options. You specify what is most important, and we will tailor your project to meet those needs.

Finish Options

When you need the highest finish possible, rivaling even the best injection molded patterns, we can use hand finishing techniques to remove any imperfections from the support material. Specify a Finish Level III for our very best finish. Our Finish Level II will be sufficient for most parts, but may include some white residue left on the surfaces from the support removal process. If you prefer to remove the support wax material at your facility, you may request our Finish Level I, which means we ship the patterns with the support material left intact from the build. These three finish options are available to tailor your project to meet your requirements for finish balanced with cost.

Pattern Size

Of course any size pattern can be made by assembling segmented pieces, but effectively, one piece patterns up to approximately 11.5” x 7.25” x 7” can be built on the ProJet™ CPX 3500 machines.
